Alcohol Violations

  • Tyler Whetzel, 21, of New Castle, cited for violating the borough code for open containers of alcohol 6:44 p.m. March 21 in the 200 block of South Seventh Street, according to Indiana Borough Police. Whetzel is not an IUP student.
  • Nathan Przybys, 19, of Lilly, was taken into custody and cited with underage drinking and public drunkenness at 3:31 a.m. March 22 in the Sheetz parking lot located at 768 Wayne Ave., borough police said. Przybys was lodged in the Indiana County Jail. Przybys is not an IUP student.
  • Marius Nsengimana, 24, of Harrisburg, was taken into custody, cited for public drunkenness and later lodged in the county jail when police found him inside a vehicle at 1:51 a.m. March 21 in the 600 block of Philadelphia Street, according to borough police.
  • Robert Stander, 20, of McKees Rocks, was arrested and cited for underage drinking when borough police were called to the parking garage located at 650 Water St. to assist someone in existing the parking garage at 7:23 a.m. March 21, according to borough police. Stander left the garage on foot and was told by police not to drive until sober, the report said. Stander is not an IUP student.
  • Abdullah Aldawsari, 23, of Indiana, was cited for public drunkenness at 12:03 a.m. March 21 in the 700 block of Philadelphia Street, according to borough police.
  • Kyle David Quinn, 19, of Drexel Hill, was cited for underage drinking and disorderly conduct at 11:16 p.m. March 20 at Sheetz, 768 Wayne Ave., after Sheetz security officers reported to police that Quinn was being disorderly, borough police said.
  • Aaron Michael Cunningham, 19, of Butler, was cited for public drunkenness and underage drinking at 12:07 a.m. March 21 at Domino’s Pizza, 1176 Grant St., after police received a complaint that Cunningham had entered the restaurant and passed out, according to borough police. Cunningham was lodged in the county jail. Cunningham is not an IUP student.
  • Eric Geer, 20, of Kane, was cited with underage drinking and carrying an open container of alcohol at 9:29 p.m. March 21 in the 700 block of Locust Street, according to borough police. Geer is not an IUP student.
  • Nathan Fleck,19, of Greensburg, was cited for public drunkenness and lodged in the county jail after police found Fleck sleeping at a table outside of McDonald’s, 940 Wayne Ave., at 9:56 p.m. March 21, according to borough police. Fleck is not an IUP student.
  • Jocelynne Johnson, 21, of New Brighton, was arrested when she attempted to enter Giant Eagle Express, located at 435 S. Seventh St., when it was closed at 1:03 a.m. March 22, according to borough police. Police said Johnson became combative with the officers during the arrest and charged Johnson with resisting arrest and public drunkenness. Johnson is not an IUP student.
  • Borough police reported that Brandon Lengyel, 21, of Bellefonte, fought with officers while they attempted to arrest him at 1:09 a.m. March 20 in the 100 block of South Seventh Street. Officers were eventually able to arrest Lengyel and took him to the Indiana Borough Police Station. Lengyel was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, according to borough police.
  • Paige Salvador, 19, of Enola, was transported to Indiana Regional Medical Center and admitted to the hospital after police found Salvador unconscious at 2:14 a.m. March 21 in the 100 block of South Seventh 10th Street, borough police said. Salvador was cited with underage drinking and public drunkenness, according to borough police.
  • Eric Lawson, 21, of Punxsutawney, was cited for possession of an open container of alcohol at 10:40 p.m. March 20 in the Hadley Union Building parking lot, according to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Police Department. Lawson is not an IUP student.
  • Nicholas Bradley, 18, of Champion; Cameron Shaffer, 19, of Greensburg; Brooke Shumar, 19, of Mount Pleasant; and Nithin Donepudi, 20, of North Grafton, Mass., were cited with underage drinking at 10:05 p.m. March 21 in Northern Suites, according to university police. Shaffer, Shumar and Donepudi are not IUP students.
  • Christopher Michael, 20, of Aliquippa, was cited with public drunkenness, underage drinking and an open container of alcohol at 9:25 p.m. March 21 at Garman Avenue and Locust Street, university police said. Michael is not an IUP student.
  • John Christopher Roan, 20, of Fairfield, was cited with underage drinking and public drunkenness after police found Roan passed out at 7:46 p.m. March 21 inside Ruddock Hall, according to university police. Roan was placed in the county jail. Roan is not an IUP student.
  • Hanna N. Minium, 19, of Williamsport, and a juvenile female were cited with underage drinking at 6:20 p.m. March 21 on the first floor of Maple East after officers were dispatched to Maple East for a malfunctioning smoke detector, university police said. The female juvenile was released into the custody of Children and Youth Services, the report said. Minium is not an IUP student.
  • Alexandria Crawford, 19, of Johnstown, was cited with underage drinking and public drunkenness and was lodged at the county jail after police observed Crawford staggering at 11:39 p.m. March 20 on the sidewalk at South 11th Street and Maple Street, according to university police. Brian L. Manuel, 20, of Malvern, was cited with underage drinking and public drunkenness and lodged at the county jail after police observed Manuel staggering at 2:03 a.m. March 21 near Maple Street and South 12th Street, university police said. Manuel is not an IUP student.
  • Nicholas Rawl, 19, of New Brighton, was cited with underage drinking and open container of alcohol at 10:54 a.m. March 20 in front of the south end of Wallwork Hall, according to university police. Rawl is not an IUP student.
  • Todd Rees, 21, of Morrisdale, was arrested for public drunkenness after police observed Rees stumbling at 11:04 p.m. March 21 on Pratt Drive in front of Wallwork Hall, university police said.
  • Ryan Jeffrey Louther, 19, of Indiana, was cited with underage drinking at 11:10 p.m. March 21 on the sidewalk of Pratt Drive and Grant Street, according to university police.
  • University police reported they found Matthew David Pytel, 22, of Schellsburg, passed out in a chair in front of Delaney Hall at 11:14 p.m. March 21. Pytel was arrested for public drunkenness and lodged at the county jail, the report said.
  • Drew Venesky, 19, of Cabot, was arrested for public drunkenness at 11:20 p.m. March 21 on the sidewalk on Pratt Drive outside of Delaney Hall and then placed in the county jail, according to university police. Venesky is not an IUP student.
  • University police found Hollyann Setree, 24, of Rossiter, facedown on the sidewalk in front of Johnson Hall at 11:34 p.m. March 21, according to university police. Setree was charged with public drunkenness, police said.
  • Blake Allen Slaybaugh, 20, of Biglerville, was arrested and charged for underage drinking and public drunkenness at 2:11 a.m. March 22 when police found Slaybaugh, a non-IUP student, attempting to get into Elkin Hall, according to university police. Slaybaugh was taken to the county jail after he was unable to locate a sober adult, the report said.
  • Stephen McCabe, 19, of Glenside, and Montel Anthony, 19, of Pittsburgh, were charged with public drunkenness and underage drinking after they were found passed out at 2:23 a.m. March 22 in the Stephenson East first floor lobby, according to university police. McCabe and Anthony are not IUP students.

 

Drug Violations

  • Tyler Whetzel, 21, of New Castle, was taken into custody for public drunkenness while in possession of heroin and marijuana at 11:16 p.m. March 21 in the 800 block of Grant Street, according to borough police. Whetzel was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness, the report said. Whetzel is not an IUP student.
  • Matthew Cunningham, 18, of Ambridge, was found in possession of marijuana and Adderall while being taken into custody for drinking at 11:11 p.m. March 20 at Sheetz, 768 Wayne Ave., according to borough police. Cunningham was charged with underage drinking, public drunkenness, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance, police said. Cunningham is not an IUP student.
  • Marque Allen, 18, of Midland, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and underage drinking at 8:02 p.m. March 20 at Sheetz, 768 Wayne Ave., according to borough police. Allen is not an IUP student.
  • Police stopped to speak with the driver and passenger of a vehicle parked on Grant Street near the parking garage at 3 a.m. March 22 and found the driver, Raistlen Bowen Willett, 19, of Greensburg, to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, university police said. The passenger, Kaine Brown, 18, of Jeannette, was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Willett was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and Brown was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, the repot said. Willett and Brown are not IUP students.
