A biology student and a communications media student will speak at the universitywide commencement ceremonies in the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex Saturday, May 10.
Cook Honors College student Abbie Bender (senior, biology and philosophy) will speak at the ceremony for the colleges of Fine Arts, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and Health and Human Services at 9 a.m. May 10.
Bender, who also has a chemistry minor, said she plans to attend medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in the fall.
Kasi Hicks (senior, communications media) will speak at the afternoon ceremony at 1:30 p.m. for the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology and the colleges of Humanities and Social Sciences and Education and Educational Technology.
Hicks plans to work at a video production company called Motion AudioVision Productions in Harrisburg.
