Indiana Borough Police arrested a Homestead man after he fled from a suspected drug delivery on South Sixth Street.
Indiana Borough Police detectives approached Desmond Michael Johnson, 25, after receiving several calls of suspicious activity in the area, according to a news release.
Johnson fled the scene and discarded several bags of suspected heroin, said the release.
Police recovered 20 bags of heroin and $400 in cash.
Johnson is being charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, a felony, as well as other drug charges.
A 23-year-old female, who was in the area, was also briefly detained and later released, according to the release.
