IUP sports news and notes

• Three members of the women’s basketball team were named to All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West teams. Senior Sarah Pastorek was named to the first team. SophomoresMarita Mathe and Amy Fairman were named to the second team.

•  The men’s basketball team remains at No. 4 in the latest National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Atlantic Regional rankings, released Wednesday.

• The softball team cancelled their doubleheader with Mercyhurst originally scheduled for Saturday. There is no makeup date, however one is expected.

• Due to incliment weather, the baseball team has made changes to their schedule. Their doubleheader with Davis & Elkins, originally scheduled for Tuesday, wascancelled. The Crimson Hawks added a pair of road games, taking on Seton Hill in Greensburg Saturday at noon and Clarion at The Point Stadium in Johnstown Sunday at noon.

• The athletic department announced the ticket policy for Friday and Saturday’sPSAC tournament at the KovalchickConvention and Athletic Complex. Slippery Rock will face East Stroudsburg Friday at 5:30 p.m., followed by IUP vs. West Chester at 7:30 p.m. The winners of the two games will then meet in the PSACchampionship game Saturday at 7 p.m. A two-day pass, which includes tickets to all three games, will cost $7 for students and $16 for adults. Tickets to the championship game alone will cost $5 for students and $10 for adults. Students with a valid school ID from IUP or any PSAC member institution will be admitted free all weekend. All fans are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time.
